Peckham Palais, a landmark within the local community, is set for a transformation featuring a nightclub and bar space.

The building was constructed in 1894 by Henry Jarvis & Sons as an extension to the Jones and Higgins Department Store. The composition of the facade, characterised by its central clock tower, drew inspiration from the clock tower in St. Mark’s Square in Venice.

The project involves the refurbishment of the premises, bringing the building up to code and addressing elements in disrepair. The internal reconfiguration includes layout adjustments to meet Fire Safety Standards and increase the overall capacity. A new passenger lift will ensure full accessibility for people with disabilities. To reduce the noise impact, comprehensive acoustic insulation will be installed, and a modern HVAC system will enhance the energy efficiency of the building.
